DMDemo is an app that allows the user to create DirectMusic demo interfaces with no Programming beyond Dmusic VB scripting.
DMDemo can be
completely customized to your content's needs. You will need to create a
DirectMusic script that DMDemo can communicate with. Then just edit the
DMDemo.ini file to let DMDemo know what buttons you want where and what
audioscript routines they should call. DMDemo supports more than buttons
though. It supports:
1) A window titled
and sized to fit your needs.
2) Can load a
DMusic script of your choice.
3) Loads a custom
audiopath of your choice and makes it the default audiopath. (optional)
4) Buttons located,
sized, and labeled how you see fit. They trigger the script routine of your
choice.
5) Edit Boxes
located and labeled how you see fit. They modify the script variable of your
choice.
6)
Label\Description Boxes located and sized how you see fit. Fill them with
whatever comments\instructions you need to express.
7) A Lyric view
pane that can be used to display comments in real time while your content
plays. It is also located and sized how you see fit. (optional)
New in 2.0
8) Variable edit
boxes can now automatically call script routines whenever the variable is
edited. This eliminates the need for polling segments.
9) Support for
protected DLS files. This is important to prevent unauthorized use of
instrument samples. The application 'FileProtector' is needed to convert the
DLS files to the .prt format. Ordering instructions are in the ReadMe file that
comes with DMDemo.
New in 2.1
10) DMDemo now
looks for .ini files that have the same name as the executable. This allows for multiple DMDemo instances in
the same directory, all using different .ini files.
11) DMDemo can now be run from an html link.
12) DMDemo has had
its error checking beefed up so you should see less crashing and more useful
error messages when there are problems with the .ini file or system components.
